With a Little Help from Our Friends

EDC projects are turning to social media to share resources, connect with those in need, and promote public health.

Twitter, the 140-character microblogging tool used by many for social updates, is finding new usefulness as a tool for protecting the public’s health.

Status Update: Just Say KNOW

When it comes to preventing underage drinking, social marketing can play an important role.

The Power of KNOW campaign in Revere, Massachusetts, has long engaged parents in the effort to prevent teen drinking.

Pregnancy rates among teens in the United States have declined over the past decade. Yet they continue to remain higher among Latinas than any other ethnic group.

This project is a collaboration with Clínicas de Salud del Pueblo, Inc., Breaking the Cycle, and Mile End Films. It is funded by the Annie E Casey Foundation. For more information contact Alexi San Doval at asandoval@edc.org.
