Case Studies that Promote Health through Schools
HHD has created Case Studies in Global School Health Promotion: From Research to Practice, published by Springer Publishing Company in 2009. This book highlights the experiences implementing comprehensive school health programs from countries in different regions of the world including the Middle East, Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Southeast Asia. The 26 case studies illustrate key factors known to be effective in changing policy and practice, such as the importance of vision and concept, the role of data for planning and decision-making, adapting to local concerns, participation and ownership by stakeholders, cross-sector collaboration, and research-based tools for implementation.
