About HHD's work globally

Extending Violence and Injury Prevention Globally

With the WHO and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, HHD is transforming workshop materials, developed by WHO and other experts on violence and injury prevention, into a series of Web-based courses to extend their reach. Adapting the print materials into a comprehensive, interactive, and customizable e-learning system, WHO will be able to reach medical personnel, public health practitioners, and the staff of government ministries and non-governmental organizations worldwide. Recipients will be able to use TEACH Violence and Injury Prevention (TEACH-VIP) for guided self-learning or to educate and train others in the basics of a public health approach to injury and violence prevention.
