Innovative Computer Games

Our work often requires us to develop creative ways to promote health through the use of technology, especially for children and young adults. To promote HIV/AIDS awareness among youth in Thailand, where the prevalence of the disease is high, HHD’s office in Asia developed a computer game. The game has nine educational modules in which youth learn about HIV and AIDS by answering a series of multiple-choice questions and interacting with different characters. Over 10,000 copies of the computer game have been distributed to Bangkok youth; it is also available online.
