Extensive Digital Libraries
A core attribute of HHD’s work is to make resources on specific topics available and relevant to a variety of audiences. For example, the U.S. Department of Education’s Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and Violence Prevention, operated by HHD, maintains a resource library and database, which offers access to current and historical information.
A distinct feature is a searchable database with entries covering the Center’s entire physical and electronic resource collection, which now numbers more than 2,000 items. Databases of mailing lists, relevant organizations and associations, customers, and partners are built on compatible platforms that can be linked and searched efficiently to facilitate technical assistance by staff.
