Global Violence Prevention Initiative

With violence claiming the lives of over 1.5 million people each year worldwide, HHD is engaged in a global violence prevention initiative to build upon the work of the World Health Organization that calls for science-based strategies to prevent violence of all forms. This effort entails planning a meeting of potential funders in 2009 to explore how science-based interventions can make a difference and to examine ways to invest in violence prevention projects at the country level.
