HHD’s Mentoring System Involved Youth project works with mentoring programs one-on-one, assisting them with common challenges like recruitment.
Over 500,000 youth end up in foster care each year. Another 500,000 youth become juvenile offenders and land in a residential facility or on probation.
This project is run by EDC's Health and Human Development division and Aftercare for Indiana through Mentoring (AIM), with funding from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. For more information, contact Ivy Jones Turner at ijonesturner@edc.org .
