HIGHLIGHT: Additional Funding for Botswana Curricula

EDC has been awarded a new 5-year contract to continue its work with the Botswana Ministry of Education implementing a national life skills curricula for grades K-12. The curricula teaches students self-respect, decision-making, and personal and collective responsibility so they will be better able to make choices that protect their health, prevent HIV, and support those infected or affected by the virus. All 31,000 teachers in the primary and secondary grades receive training to use the curricula in their own classrooms, reaching 520,000 Botswana youth.
