The Connecting Across Cultures project is motivated by the personal
experience of its staff, many of whom are themselves immigrants (Read

Connecting Across Cultures
is funded by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and is an offshoot of
CSAP’s Northeast Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies
(CAPT) at EDC, Inc. which is one of five regional centers funded
by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. The mission of the
CAPT is to support the application of evidence-based substance abuse
prevention programs and strategies at the regional, state and local
levels; and to enhance collaboration between and within each level.
CAC is a project of Education Development Center, Inc., an international,
non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing learning, promoting
health, and fostering a deeper understanding of the world.
